For the last couple of months, Crane has been a proud host of Sessions of Solidarity, an informal support group led by our Arts Associate, Shaiful Risan. This group meets on the first Wednesday evening of each month.
In these challenging times, many of us need a little support more than ever. Some of us have lost income; others have added stress. We worry about our loved ones’ health and wellbeing, as well as our own. On top of that, many of us have already been juggling multiple challenges before the pandemic hit!
It would be nice if we all had a chance to speak to a professional therapist, but for various reasons, that option isn’t always open. Still, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t reach out to a helping hand when you need it.
Sessions of Solidarity was formed to address that need. Each month we tackle a different theme, from the burdens of the adult only child, to handling debt. But don’t let that limit you.
If you’d like to just come by and chat, or if you have something to share, you’re welcome to join us. If you want to seek advice or support from others going through similar challenges, that’s exactly what we’re here for.
This is a safe, inclusive space where you can say whatever you need to. We ask that all participants be respectful of one another. We understand that some topics might be triggering, and it’s perfectly okay to excuse yourself if you need a break.
If you’d like to speak to a licensed therapist, Crane is happy to recommend a professional from our wide membership base of counsellors, life coaches and therapists.
See you at our next session!
